About Carpet Emporio
Who makes your carpets?
We make our carpets in our own workshop in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, the Carpet Capital of India. Our family has been making carpets since 1964. Carpet Emporio is the brand of M/S Misbah Furnishing. Read more on our About Us page.
Are you a manufacturer or a trader?
We are a manufacturer. You buy directly from the workshop, with no middlemen.
Materials and Quality
What are hand tufted and hand knotted carpets made of?
Our hand tufted and hand knotted carpets are made of 100% New Zealand wool. Dhurries are also made of New Zealand wool.
What are shaggy rugs made of? Are they handmade?
Our shaggy rugs are made of microfiber polyester on a punching (automatic shaggy tufting) machine, so they are machine tufted, not handmade. The colours are fade resistant and the backing is strong.
What is the difference between hand tufted and hand knotted?
In a hand tufted carpet the pile is punched into a stretched cotton frame by hand and then fixed with a backing. In a hand knotted carpet every knot is tied by hand on a loom. Hand knotted carpets take much longer to make. Browse hand tufted carpets and hand knotted carpets.
Which rug is best for a living room, bedroom or dining room?
Hand tufted wool rugs suit living rooms and bedrooms well. Choose a size large enough for the front legs of your furniture to rest on the rug. See our Rug Size Guide, or browse area rugs for every room.
Sizes and Custom Orders
Can I get a rug in a different size, colour or design?
Yes. Any design on our website can be made in your size and colour. Send us your requirement on WhatsApp and we will share a free quote. Made-to-order and custom carpets are delivered in about 25–35 days. See Custom Rugs.
Do you take bulk orders for hotels, designers and retailers?
Yes. We work with interior designers, architects, hotels, retailers and export buyers. See Bulk & Trade Orders.
Shipping and Payment
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping all over India on every order.
How long does delivery take?
Ready-to-ship carpets are delivered in about 12–15 days from the date of order. Made-to-order and custom carpets take about 25–35 days. These are estimates, and delays can happen because of weather, holidays or courier issues. We share tracking details once your order ships. Full details are in our Shipping & Cancellation Policy.
Do you ship outside India?
International shipping is available on request. International shipping charges are shown at checkout, and customs duties or import taxes are paid by the customer. Please message us on WhatsApp with your country and the rug you want.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Prices on our website include 5% GST, and we issue a GST invoice in the name of M/S Misbah Furnishing.
Returns and Exchanges
Can I return or exchange a carpet?
Yes, for standard listed sizes you get a 10-day return and exchange. The carpet must be unused, clean and in its original packaging. We refund after inspecting the returned carpet, and we pay the return shipping. Custom orders (an unlisted size, a changed colour or your own design) cannot be returned or exchanged. Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel before the order is dispatched and get a full refund. Custom carpets cannot be cancelled once production has started.
Care
How do I look after my rug?
Vacuum it regularly, rotate it now and then so it wears evenly, and wipe spills quickly with a clean, dry cloth. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
